Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury in Taurus
Beginning tomorrow, Mars ingresses (enters a new sign) into Taurus, followed by Mercury and Venus on the 15th, then Jupiter on June 4th. This short-term Taurus passage amplifies the feeling of the middle of spring. It’s the maximum time of flowers, the flutter of butterflies and buzz of bees. The color of green is everywhere and leaves of trees and many plants are soft to the touch. The smell of gardens and songs of birds populate the air around us. Birds conduct their courtships with elaborate dances, showing their colors for the potential mates. Nests are constructed, providing comfort to the future offspring and a sanctuary for the family.
With all of those planets in Taurus, the focus is on us to receive the bounties of the Earth. Look, listen, smell, taste and touch that which is provided to us all. We are reminded that we are still part of this great planet, our home and we can share in its gifts to others. The transition from Aries to Taurus is a time to slow down and enjoy what comforts we have right now. “Relax, why the rush? Take off your shoes and stay awhile . . .”
In the early morning sky, before dawn, the visible planets are reminding us to stay within our being and take in the pleasure of that sight, translating down to Earth as to give permission to receive the pleasures of Terra Firma. Security comes in the knowledge that we have all that we need right in front us. It’s also a time to treat ourselves once in a while to the sweets of chocolate, the warmth of hot spring or subtle pleasure of a lazy weekend. These activities balance the stresses of regular life, helping mind, body and spirit.
