For today, Dec 6th and tomorrow Dec 7th, we have a waxing Crescent Moon, the stage between the New and First Quarter stages. The 
Moon has now crossed into the sign of Aquarius, passed by Venus and is in the constellation of the Goat-Fish, aka Capricornus (not to be confused with the astrological sign of Capricorn).
In Shamanic Astrology, this phase is about breaking open and free of the shell that once protected us but is no longer of use. It is the invocation of new or novel ideas from a surge of energy pushing us to create and revolutionize ourselves. We are now free to see the greater cosmic picture while changing and evolving into a new form.
Feeling stuck? Well, this is the moon phase to become “unstuck”. It is time to take the new plans of the New Moon and allow the energy to inspire us to newer ways of expressing what we want to manifest in this world. Breaking through to the other side, are words that symbolize this moon phase. And since the Moon is also in Aquarius, it brings additional emphasis to cracking open the egg, allowing the life to be free of the constructs of the old form. Yet, we must still honor the old form by acknowledging the knowledge, security and wisdom of the original seed, providing us with the tools to set forth onto that first breath of newness.
