Tomorrow night, June 30th, get ready to see one of the closest Venus-Jupiter conjunctions in recent memory. For
many months, Venus has been slowly moving along the Ecliptic (Path of the Sun and Planets) toward Jupiter in the sign of Leo. Venus’ journey has taken her (in the form of the goddess) through the seven gates out of the underworld to regain her crown, which she did on the 20th of June.
Now, the Jupiter, playing the roll of the king, has given his blessings to see the goddess make her ascension beyond the patriarchal royal image. She has become the Amazon Queen goddess, shining her radical radiance of self-love to the earth below, where Jupiter shares in the celestial ceremony above. Not very far away and within 10 degrees of the conjunction is the star Regulus, the heart of the Lion. This is one of the powerful 4 bohemian or royal stars that was used to assist in the alchemical work of transmuting energy into gold. This star magic will symbolically provide the goddess with a golden touch (spiritually) as she comes into her sovereign, autonomous self. She is nearing the end of her 19-month cycle that began with her early morning rise in the sign of Capricorn in January of 2014.
In two months, after Venus passes between the Earth and the Sun, she will rise, setting a new tone of the Leo archetype for her new cycle, in the early morning sky to once again see Jupiter but this time with the re-birthed masculine energy in the planet Mars.
If you have any chance to see this special conjunction tomorrow evening, please do! Look the west-northwest and wait at least 30 minutes after sunset to see the spectacular planetary conjunction. Extend your arm and index finger toward the planets and see how they both fit in the finger’s width. Venus is the brightest of the two planets and the one slightly below the dimmer light of Jupiter.
