The messenger planet Mercury is getting ready to change direction on Saturday, January 14th at 10 degrees, 19 minutes in the sign of Aquarius and on the back of the Sea Goat constellation.
Mercury is about 3 degrees from Saturn as well, in the sky. The ringed planet will be contributing to this station point. This station point marks the beginning of the end of the current Mercury synodic cycle, which began the last time Mercury ended its retrograde transit on October 18th. Anytime Mercury stations creates an extra emphasis of the sign / sky position of the planet in what is being symbolically shared with us.
Stationing Retrograde means it is time to take a breath and review our ideas over the last few months and how we’ve communicated. Have we tried new ideas when communcations broke down? What have we done to expand our consciousness beyond the limits we impose on ourselves?
Mercury Retrograde is also a creative time, where digital perfection or preciseness is not necessarily needed.
Retrogrades are generally nothing to be afraid of, but can be challenging due to our heavy reliance on the rational mind and computer technology. With Saturn also involved, we can ask what limits have we placed on ourselves and how can we innovate to through those limits/boundaries.
Mercury will stay retrograde until February 3rd, when it has transitioned and goes direct in the sign of Capricorn.
