Recently, Saturn’s retrograde movement (perceived backward movement against the backdrop of the stars) is slowing and have moved a hair under five degrees Scorpio. This slowing will come to a halt for a few days as Earth’s orbit has passed a point where it will appear that Saturn has actually stopped. But it is an illusion. Very soon after, Saturn will begin to move forward once again and in astrology we call this “Going Direct” or “Stationing Direct.”
This direct motion begins late on July 6th, Pacific time and early morning of July 7th Eastern Time. For those people who are in a Saturn transit cycle in the early degrees will know there Saturn cycle is nearly over, such as my own. Saturn going Direct will be another signal in this Water Trine that is just beginning to form (Jupiter in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces). It is part of higher octave of what happened in the mid to late 1960s and the evolution/revelation that occurred during that time period. With the recent court decisions, especially the rejection of DOMA, expanding the definition of family on a more formal level, shows that this Water Trine has arrived.
The direct motion of Saturn will reveal (along with Pluto in Capricorn) the limits and shadows of western culture, economic structure and allow for the processing and confrontation of fears under which we find ourselves. We have as a people a way to include everyone in our family (Jupiter in Cancer) and take action toward these ends (Uranus in Aries). Saturn’s position in Scorpio will show that secrets ultimately cannot remain secret for long and that those who hold on to unhealthy structural patterns will be forced to face their fears and grow (especially as a nation or organization).
On a personal level, it is time to review what we’ve pushed aside, buried or ignored, especially as it applies to our physical and financial health. Do we fear our own growth? Are we living in a toxic environment because it is too hard to change? Or, are we feeling an urgency to move forward, to rise above our circumstances and flourish, knowing we are making the right move and investing in our future? These are just a few questions a person can ask themselves now. What is your passion? Are you making the right decision for Your Soul’s Growth?
